Why Many Americans Mistake Islam for a Religion
Almost every person I talk to in this country actually believes Islam is a religion. It seemed to me as if I were in some Twilight Zone. Imagine how you would feel if the majority of people you met believed that the Earth was flat. Then I took the following quick current events test from the Pew Research Center (obviously I scored 11 out of 11).

I have written previously that at least 50% of Americans are idiots simply because they are liberals. However the results show that Republicans and Democrats both answered an average of 5.7 questions correctly. Seems both are clueless. Very sad results and very disappointing.
This explains why most Americans mistakenly believe Islam is a religion - they're just clueless. I don't know what we can do to teach young Americans the truth - that Islam is a political cult no different than Nazism and with the same goals, see my article Muslims are not Nazis.
