Muslims are Not Responsible for all Evil in the World
Could you imagine what people would have said if Ted Bundy wanted his serial murders excused on the ground that there were other people who committed even more numerous and despicable acts of evil, pointing to Vlad the Impaler and Attila the Hun as examples? How would that argument have worked in court?
But Muslims are not ashamed to point to evil infidels in history to excuse their own atrocities.
Consider this comment left by reader nizami from Jakarta, Indonesia in response to my article Islam is the Fastest Growing Religion - Not:
Who start World War I where 17 million people killed?
France, Russia, Britain against Germany. Mostly Christians.
Not Muslim!
Who Start WW II where 55 million people killed? It's Christians!
Nizami then points to his blog article Is Islam the Most Violent Religion in the World? where he goes into more detail about Christian wars and exploitations, blatantly omitting the hundreds of millions killed in Muslim wars over the centuries.
But how does that excuse present day Muslim barbarities?
Here is my reply to his arguments:
So nizami, are you saying we should excuse Muslims when they stone women for adultery, cut hands off for stealing, and behead people for blasphemy because Muslims are not responsible for 100% of the evil in the world? Where did I write that Muslims are the only evil in the world?
As for WWI, Germany and Ottoman Muslims started that war, read your history.
As for WWII, Do you know who collaborated with the Nazis that killed so many millions of Jews? Do you know who recruited Muslims for the SS? Look up Mohammad Amin al-Husayni, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, read your history.
If you did not know these facts, that Muslims were deeply involved in both wars that you cited, then you are merely an ignorant tool who repeats Muslim urban legends he finds on Muslim websites. If you did know these facts but hoped we did not know them, then your are just another Muslim deceiver.
In either case, your are either an idiot or a liar. Nothing personal.
I'm surprised Nizami in his rant did not blame Jews for starting most of the wars in the world, see 13 things to blame on the Jews.
Of course there is a big difference between Christians fighting in both world wars and Muslims slitting the throats of sleeping children. When Germans were ordered to fight, neither the Kaiser nor Hitler quoted verses from Jesus ordering them to vanquish their enemies. When Muslims commit atrocities, their Imams give them the Sura and Verse where Mohammed commands them to slay the unbelievers.
Some soldiers in WWI or WWII might have been Christians however neither war was fought to spread the Christian religion throughout the world. Neither Hitler, Mussolini nor Tojo were fighting in the Christian cause. If anything, the axis powers were seen by the Christian world as anti-Christian.
But certainly the actions of present day Jihadists have the following goals in mind: the spread of Islam throughout the world and the subjugation, conversion or death of the infidels.
A very poor, unconvincing argument on your part Nizami; other evil deeds do not excuse your own. It doesn't excuse serial killers, it doesn't excuse Muslim barbarities.
