Muslim Myth: Israeli Checkpoints Prevent Palestinians From Receiving Medical Attention.
I do not expect gratitude for an act of kindness but I do consider ingratitude a sin. For example, a few years back at Bally's Atlantic City Hotel and Casino I found a gold Buddha in a teak case at the side of my bed left by the previous hotel guest. I discovered it on my second night in the room so either the owner did not yet realize he lost it or he didn't think he might have left it in the hotel room.
I have seen gold pieces like this in New York's Chinatown where I have been doing business for more than 36 years. I estimated the value in gold alone at more than three thousand dollars and more than double that at today's gold price of almost $1,400 per ounce. I didn't think twice, I brought it down to the VIP registration room.
VIP later informed me it was picked up by the previous guest. No one ever called me to thank me or left a note with VIP with a thank-you-note. That there was no gratitude did not bother me. What would have bothered me is if that owner had repaid my kindness with evil.
Which brings me to Muslim terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev who, along with his wife and their 3-year-old daughter, received state assistance until 2012. How did the Tsarnaevs repay the state? With the coin of treachery.

On June 20, 2005, Wafa Samir Ibrahim Bas was arrested attempting to smuggle an explosives belt through the Erez crossing. Bas aroused the suspicion of soldiers at the checkpoint when a biometric scanner revealed she was hiding explosives. When she realized they had discovered the explosive belt, she attempted unsuccessfully to detonate it.
Bas had been admitted on humanitarian grounds to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva several months earlier for treatment of massive burns she received as a result of a cooking accident. After her arrest, she admitted that the Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade had instructed her to use her personal medical authorization documents to enter into Israel to carry out a suicide attack. In an interview shown on Israeli television, Bas said her “dream was to be a martyr” and that her intent was to kill 40 or 50 people—as many young people as possible.
There you have it: Israeli doctors treated her for six months but her dream is to destroy the very place and the very people who saved her life. That is some ingratitude. But wait! It gets better:
Wikipedia, Wafa al Bass
She was imprisoned for several years and released in the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange.
Upon release [from] prison she immediately attained further notoriety by urging Gazans to “take another Shalit” every year until all convicted Arab terrorists held in Israeli prisons were freed. As schoolchildren gathered at her home in northern Gaza to welcome her home, she told them, "I hope you will walk the same path we took and God willing, we will see some of you as martyrs."
As one of the doctors who supplied skin to treat Wafa wrote (1), "[this is a] war between civilization & barbarism."
So when you hear the Muslim myth that Israeli Checkpoints Prevent Palestinians From Receiving Medical Attention, you know at least one Palestinian who was detained at the checkpoint and the reason why.

I was instrumental in establishing the Israeli National Skin Bank, which is the largest in the world. The National Skin Bank stores skin for every day needs as well as for war time or mass casualty situations. This skin bank is hosted at the Hadassah Ein Kerem University hospital in Jerusalem where I was the Chairman of plastic surgery.
This is how I was asked to supply skin for an Arab woman from Gaza, who was hospitalized in Soroka Hospital in Beersheva...
We supplied all the needed Homografts for her treatment. She was successfully treated by my friend and colleague, Prof. Lior Rosenberg and discharged to return to Gaza. She was invited for regular follow-up visits to the outpatient clinic in Beersheva.
One day she was caught at a border crossing wearing a suicide belt. She meant to explode herself in the outpatient clinic of the hospital where they saved her life.

This is only one example of the war between Jews and Muslims in the Land of Israel. It is not a territorial conflict. This is a civilizational conflict, or rather a war between civilization & barbarism.
