Open Wide For the Obamessiah

Young supporters chant 'Obama, Obama' as Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) takes the stage at rally at the XL Center during the last full day of campaigning before Super Tuesday 4 February 2008 in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Urban Dictionary defines Obamessiah in the following way: "The new leader of the democrat party indicated by the euphoric evangelical opiate induced trance-like gaze that overwhelms the crowd at a Barack Obama campaign rally." Many among his faithful have not lost their awe and wonder despite the scandals surrounding their Lord and Savior:
- The Obamacare Train-wreck.
- The callous failure to rescue Americans in Benghazi.
- The fraudulent manipulation of jobs numbers in the months leading to the 2012 elections so that they would appear more favorable to the Obamessiah administration (1).
- The targeting of right wing companies by the IRS.
- Operation Fast and Furious.
- U.S. Secret Service agents hiring Colombian Prostitutes.
- The subpoenas of the Associated Press.
- The Environmental Protection Agency giving unfair preference to environmental groups.
- The green energy debacles - the bankruptcies of Solyndra, Beacon Power, Ener1, etc.
- The NSA omnibus snooping.
- and his myriad lies (2).
Despite all of the above, the adoration is so great for the Obamessiah that even though it has been publicized (3) that the White House knew back in 2010 that millions would lose their health insurance, their doctors, and hospitals, the majority of Americans still cannot bring themselves to believe that He lied to them.
So while many liberals scoff at the very mention of God, I believe they would have no problem with a nativity scene on the lawn of every municipality in this country, provided of course, that it's the baby Obama in the Crèche.

PoliGu.com - The Political Guide, 4 Sep 2012, Barack Obama - Census control
In February of 2009, the Obama administration required the director of the Census Bureau to report directly to the White House. Some Congressional leaders believed that this was done to ensure that former Senator Judd Gregg did not interfere with the census outcome. Senator Gregg had been placed in charge of the Department of Commerce which is the bureau that normally oversees the census.
Critics of the move asserted that there is no precedent for the Department of Commerce to be circumvented to have the census placed under political operatives at the White House. They noted that a census could be altered to politically favor one party over another.

Washington Times, 20 Nov 2013, President's word games on Obamacare backfire on him: They prove his lies
WASHINGTON, November 20, 2013 — President Barack Obama’s evasive ways are backfiring on him. They only confirm how he lied to America and committed fraud to promote Obamacare.
A favorite Obama ploy is trying to evade responsibility for scandals by playing dumb. He’s not denying he said things that turned out to be false; he’s claiming he didn’t realize they were false. So much for being the smartest guy in the room!
But it’s fraud not only to make claims you know are false, but also to make claims in disregard of whether they’re true. When people rely on your word, you have a duty to keep quiet if you didn’t verify the facts first.
Courts don’t let people get away with pulling an Obama. False statements that cause damage can’t be excused by later claiming they were made unwittingly, such as Obama’s oft-repeated claim, “If you like your current health insurance, you can keep it.”
Incredibly, the White House Press Corps last week let the President get away with asserting that he made that statement repeatedly without realizing it would prove to be false.
Obama also told the gullible White House media that he was surprised when the healthcare.gov website failed. His defense? Did anyone “think I’m stupid enough” to brag about the site if he’d known it had problems? Stupid? No. Brazen? Yes. This week we learn he indeed knew for months about the website woes, yet he still told the country it would be like Amazon.com.

NBC News, 1 Oct 2013, Obama admin. knew millions could not keep their health insurance
President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.
Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”
None of this should come as a shock to the Obama administration. The law states that policies in effect as of March 23, 2010 will be “grandfathered,” meaning consumers can keep those policies even though they don’t meet requirements of the new health care law. But the Department of Health and Human Services then wrote regulations that narrowed that provision, by saying that if any part of a policy was significantly changed since that date -- the deductible, co-pay, or benefits, for example -- the policy would not be grandfathered.
