Is Israel an Apartheid State?

15 Jul 2013 - About 80,000 Muslims attended prayers at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque compound on the first Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

Muslims, when they don't have a good excuse as to why Islamic countries persecute their own infidel citizens, respond with this non sequitur: "But isn't Israel is an apartheid state?"
Even if it were true about Israel, which it is not, how does that excuse Muslim brutality against its own non-Muslim citizens?
As an example of this type of thinking, consider this comment left by a Muslim reader in response to my article The United Arab Emirates Is an Advanced nation:
Tell me something, are the Muslims welcomed in Israel? Is it allowed for us to engage in political conversation? They don’t even permit Muslims to pray in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, on the contrary, there are many churches and synagogues in Islamic countries. Do you know that there are over 30 synagogues and 73 churches in Iran?
Let's cover these wild assertions in order:
- Assertion: Are Muslim welcome in Israel?
The Reality:There are more Muslims (1.3 million ) living in itsy-bitsy, teensy, weensy, tiny, itty-bitty Israel than all the Jews (83,512) living in all 50 Muslim-majority countries - see my article How Many Jews Live In Muslim Countries?
- Assertion: Is it allowed for us to engage in political conversation?
The Reality: Muslims have more political freedoms in Israel than anywhere else in the Middle East:
Wikipedia, Contesting allegations of discrimination
According to Ishmael Khaldi, an Arab citizen of Israel and the nation's first high-ranking Muslim in the Israeli foreign service, while Israeli society is far from perfect, minorities in Israel fare far better than any other country in the Middle East. He wrote:
I am a proud Israeli – along with many other non-Jewish Israelis such as Druze, Bahai, Bedouin, Christians and Muslims, who live in one of the most culturally diversified societies and the only true democracy in the Middle East. Like America, Israeli society is far from perfect, but let us deal honestly. By any yardstick you choose – educational opportunity, economic development, women and gay's rights, freedom of speech and assembly, legislative representation – Israel's minorities fare far better than any other country in the Middle East.
- Assertion: They don’t even permit Muslims to pray in the Al-Aqsa Mosque...
The Reality: Oh yeah? Check the photo at the top of the page.
- Assertion: ... there are many churches and synagogues in Islamic countries.
The Reality: The majority of churches and synagogues in Muslim countries are abandoned, in ruins, used as mosques or for other purposes such as storage or garages, see my article It is a Lie that Turkey Has a Lot of Churches.
Israel an apartheid state?
Consider: When the Baha'is, the largest religious minority in Iran, were persecuted, where did they find sanctuary? That's right, Israel, see my article Israel - The Safest Place in the world for Baha`is.
Consider: When black Sudanese refugees, attempting to escape ethnic cleansing by Muslims, sought asylum, where did they find sanctuary? That's right, Israel, see my article TT 13 things to blame on the Jews.
Consider: Israel offers more educational opportunities to Arabs, than Muslim countries offer their Arab citizens. As proof, let us note that West Bank Arabs have a literacy rate of 92.4% compared to Saudi Arabia's 78.8% despite Saudi trillions in wealth, see my article Arabs Live Better under Israeli Rule.
Here is the unvarnished truth: Israel is the most multicultural, most democratic, most open country from North Africa to Indonesia. So Ahmed, no more silly Muslim obfuscations, lies, dissembling, distortions, or propaganda.
