Famous Jewish Sports Legends
Back in 2007 a website called The Lang Report published an article entitled “JEWISH NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS…..Why So Many?,” wondering why Jews have won so many Nobel Prizes, 178, compared to Muslims who have won so few, a mere 9, despite the fact that Muslims outnumber Jews 117 to one.

I responded: "Jacob, Let me tell you why there are so few Jewish Athletes: teams owners rarely want to play."
In the early decades of the 20th century Jews in America made their living in rough and tumble sports. And just as Jews today excel in government, law, business, Hollywood, medicine and other professions, Jews a hundred years ago not only excelled in but dominated basketball, boxing, track and field, and almost every other sport.
One of the enduring stereotypes about Jews, other than their cheapness, is that they are physically frail. Consider the following clip from the 1980 film Airplane!:
