Polls Results - Are You in Favor of the Death Penalty?
Last month I asked visitors to my site to vote in a poll asking the following question: "Are You in Favor of the Death Penalty?" After one month, 210 voters gave their views - here are the results:
So for various reasons, 95 out of 210 readers (45.2%) were in favor of the death penalty with an incredible 17 who didn't care if innocent victims were executed. 90 readers (42.8%) were opposed, and 25 readers (11.9%) didn't know or care one way or the other.
In a Gallup poll taken last year, the question asked was, "Are you in favor of the death penalty for a person convicted of murder?" Their results: 60% In Favor, 35% Opposed, 5% No Opinion.
I would like to think my readers have read my articles on the death penalty and so were persuaded to vote differently than most Americans who are clueless about how broken our justice system really is.
