America Does not Steal Oil
By Bernie on 11 Nov 2009:
There's no shortage of Muslim morons like Mos Def who publicly admits he does not believe the US ever landed on the moon. He knows this because it has been discussed and verified in many black barbershops across the country [article: Mos Def is an Idiot].
Joining him in his stupidity are other Muslims and liberal idiots who repeat the same old, tired trites such as "No Blood for Oil" and "The West is stealing the resources of Arabs and Muslims". Readers who view my comment section have often come upon comments that accuse America of attacking Muslim countries for their oil. One goat-herder even left a comment (1) accusing George Bush of sending troops to Afghanistan to steal its gold and oil! Yeah, like Afghanistan has anything to export other than camel dung and opium.
Hey, what about Iraq? Yeah, what about it? Where is all the free oil we were supposed to be stealing according to leftist anti-war protesters? Did I go Rip Van Winkle for the past few decades or are we still buying oil from Venezuela, Canada, Norway, Russia, etc? If the planet hasn't run out of oil except for Iraq, then why would we even bother wasting one bullet on a Muslim ass to get their oil? Saddam would have gladly sold us oil if we simply asked. Isn't it cheaper to simply buy it without spending ten billion dollars a month wasting American lives in a gigantic war?
Muslims complain that we steal their oil. I don't understand this. We pay Venezuela, Russia and other countries the world spot price for oil - we don't pay Muslims less because of some dislike of Islam - and certainly no one holds a gun to the Saudis and demands that they sell us oil for a buck a gallon (even though we helped discover, develop, and market the oil for them). If America offers too low a price, then Arabs/Muslims don't have to sell. If our offer is too low, China, India, and other nations who need oil would just make a higher bid and we would end up with no oil. The price of oil is not determined by American bullying. Only those who are ignorant of how the oil market works would make silly statements that America can set the price of oil. We cannot. The oil embargo of 1973-1974 proved that.
Much of this nonsense is also spread when oil marketing experts like Osama bin Laden weigh in on the topic. In April of 2006 the Al-Qaeda leader accused the U.S. of seeking to steal oil in Sudan's Darfur region (2). By steal, he means we seek to pay Sudan market price for their oil. I wish someone would steal my products and pay me billions, Oh God, I wish I were so blessed with that kind of thievery.
Truth be told, Bin Laden knows the US does not steal oil and he also knows most Muslims and leftists are imbeciles who will believe his lie. First of all, American companies (including American oil companies) are forbidden by law (sanctions since 1997) to make investments in the Sudan (with the sole exception of gum arabic (3)). Second, all the oil ventures in the Sudan are already spoken for by CNPC (China National Petroleum Corp), Petronas (Malaysian state-owned oil company), and ONGC Videsh Ltd. (India's Oil & Natural Gas Corp). If anyone is doing the "stealing" in the Sudan it is China, Malaysia, and India; but you don't hear Bin Laden asking for a jihad against them. Odd.
In my article Labor Law Poster and War for Oil Scams, I wrote:
Gold is more precious than oil, yet we didn't invade South Africa (which controls most of the world's gold supply) to CONTROL GOLD. When we need it - we buy it.
Keep believing that America never landed on the moon, 9/11 was engineered by Mossad, that Islam is the Religion of Peace, that we went into Iraq for oil, and that Infidels are stealing the resources of Muslims. The truth is, without infidels Muslims would be naked, diseased, miserable sand fleas without two camel dicks to rub together. Whatever commodities of value you Muslims have, infidels have discovered, developed, and helped you market and for which we pay a high price and get back zero gratitude.
You're welcome.

Bloomberg, Bin Laden Accuses West of Seeking to Steal Sudan Oil
Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden accused the U.S. of seeking to steal oil in Sudan's Darfur region in an audiotape broadcast by the satellite television station al- Jazeera and authenticated by the U.S.
Bin Laden said Muslim fighters should be prepared to fight "crusaders" in the west of Sudan where the United Nations is seeking to send 20,000 troops.
...
"They are waging a war between the sons of the tribes in Darfur in preparation for sending troops and stealing the oil of western Sudan. I urge the mujahadeen and their followers to do all they must to fight against the thieves," bin Laden said on Qatar-based al-Jazeera.

American University (Wash D.C.), US Sanctions on Sudan and the Gum Arabic Exemption
In late 1997, the US Congress passed into law a bill that placed economic sanctions on the country of Sudan. The United States decided to punish the Sudanese government, which the State Department declared is a "sponsor of terrorism and a relentless oppressor of its minority Christian population." The original bill was meant to terminate all commercial activities between the two countries, however, this did not come to fruition. Though the Sudanese government has no active lobby in this country, while the bill made its way through committee, several lobbying groups made a sudden appearance and opposed outright passage of the bill. They did not oppose the sanctions as a whole, they took issue on the possible sanction of only one product, gum arabic.
Gum arabic is used by a number of industries. When the companies that rely on it heavily realized that their primary source of gum arabic was about to be cut off, the lobbying groups that represent those US companies sprung into action – Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, and Mexico also export gum arabic, but Sudan is by far the largest exporter. The result of the lobbying efforts was an exemption placed on gum arabic allowing companies to apply for a license which permits them to import gum arabic from Sudan.
US Dept of the Treasury, Sudan Sanctions [PDF]
On November 3, 1997, President Clinton issued Executive Order 13067, finding that the policies and actions of the Government of Sudan, including continued support for international terrorism, ongoing efforts to destabilize neighboring governments, and the prevalence of human rights violations, including slavery and the denial of religious freedom, constituted an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.
E.O. 13067, issued under the authority of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701-1706) (“IEEPA”), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, imposed a trade embargo against the entire territory of Sudan and a total asset freeze against the Government of Sudan.
