After laying a lengthy fusillade of Muslim jokes upon a friend the other day, she asked me if there were any redeeming aspects of Islam. In general, I find nothing redeemable in Islam, its so-called holy book, or its pedophile prophet. But I held back my usual retort when I recalled an article of mine from three years ago reporting on Iran's crackdown on western style haircuts.

In banning "decadent Western cuts", Iran hopes its citizens adopt haircuts that are Shariah compliant. Among the list of banned styles is the mullet.

I rarely agree with anything that the Mullahs do, but in this case I have to concur: mullets should be banned. I can't think of anything that makes men look more like babbling hillbilly idiots than this hairstyle.
