It is believed by many that the highway system, dams, bridges, and other government construction projects created millions of jobs thereby increasing the standard of living; projects which it is believed would never have taken place but for the actions of our government.

In this youtube video we quickly see the difference between casino CEO Steve Wynn vs Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm.

It has been fashionable in the past few years for leftists to excuse their hatred for America by pointing out that George Washington, Sam Adams, John Hancock and others were rebelling against their government and that their acts of heroism would today be viewed as acts of terrorism.

I know with absolute certainty that any program that "helps" the poor by taking money from someone else, actually hurts the poor. The Great Depression was a great depression instead of a short recession precisely because our government socialized our economy with measures that spent our monies on feel good projects that did absolutely nothing to improve the situation.

Forty years ago, Ted Kennedy came upon a narrow, unlit bridge without guardrails and drove his car off the bridge where it overturned killing Mary Jo Kopechne.

I was just thinking about some of the emails going around that say, "Hitler took over the car companies, then health care and then he killed the Jews." As if taking over car companies and then healthcare makes it a historical imperative that the killing of Jews follows.

Leftists, pacifists, and anti-war demonstrators think they are doing the world good by keeping their country from engaging in war. In actual fact, American pacifists in the 1930s made possible the appeasement of Hitler which led to World War II.

Here's the deal: if a neighborhood has been terrorized by burglars and officers assigned to an anti-burglary unit come upon a fellow at 2 in the morning walking with a mask, gloves, crowbar, rope, lock-picking tools, an empty sack and doesn't live in the neighborhood and is not a construction worker on his way to work, the cops will definitely arrest the guy for the crime of having in his possession tools intended to be used in the commission of a burglary. No doubt about it.

"If I were a criminal, to confuse police I’d get personalized license plates that say “NO PLATES". At first glance that sounds like a great idea. A cop issuing you a ticket would scribble "NO PLATES" in the appropriate section so that back at the courthouse they would file the citation as uncollectable.

What is it about Liberals and their obsession with revising history? It is bad enough that useful Jew-idiot Steven Spielberg equates legitimate vengeance by Israelis with the barbarity of a completely unprovoked butchery of athletes at the Munich Olympics in his faux-history film Munich. If these kinds of Jews rule Hollywood then woe to Jews.

No matter how many times Obama bleats about the mess he has inherited, it is indisputable that the Bush Administration and Senator McCain warned repeatedly about Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac and what eventually became the 2008 financial crisis - starting in 2002 in this Youtube Video.

First off, let me say that the title "Death to All Offensive Bloggers" does not refer to a new Obama Administration Executive Order requiring that all right-wing bloggers be publicly executed. No, I'm talking about Iran's new push to include the death penalty for bloggers who write about or promote illegal activities, such as apostasy, prostitution, etc.

That's right: There is Nothing Wrong with Slavery. Consider the fact that a plantation owner has to spend a large portion of his cotton revenues on feeding, clothing, shelter and even medical care of his slaves. Shouldn't slaves therefore feel some debt of gratitude that he takes care of all their necessities of life?

There is no denying that corporate officers have completely lost touch with reality in regard to bonuses, fixing up offices, flying around in corporate jets, etc. Perhaps one good thing that might come out of all this is that stockholders may look more carefully at the egregious and obscene salaries/bonuses handed out to mere mortals. No person on this planets is worth a golden parachute in the tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.

Here is a photo of our family Christmas Tree taken last night. Three generations live in our home: my wife and I, my two sons and my two daughters-in-law and two grandchildren (both aged 9). We are all Atheists, my two sons, my wife and I, but we celebrate Christmas much in the same manner as Christians. As terribly out of fashion as it is these days, we watch 'March of the Wooden Soldiers', 'It's a Wonderful Life' , 'A Christmas Carol'; we string hundreds of lights outside, we cook a Christmas turkey, and we have friends and family come over on the 26th of December to share gifts, good wishes, and our great fortune and joy in being Americans.

A reader left a comment making light of my worries that appeasing moderate Muslims will lead to the downfall of Western Civilization.
Please dear reader, for the Sake of God, please give me one single thing of Western Culture that does not offend Muslims and I will write an apology to Muslims with a giant headline proclaiming: "I was WRONG - Muslims do not hate everything in the Western World"

I don't have to tell you unless you live in a cave in Pakistan, although even there some Muslim is probably laughing at American stupidity: the bailout package was rejected by the U.S. House of Representatives.

I would like to live just like the Sultan of Brunei in the world's largest palace with 1,788 rooms, 257 bathrooms, and a floor area of 2,152,782 square feet but life is not fair.

If Al Sharpton wants to do right by black youth he should be encouraging them to leave the big cities and join the army - where it's a lot safer for them.
